Job summary

Waukegan Tire is seeking a Tire Technician to mount, dismount, balance, and rotate tires and to perform maintenance tasks with accuracy and safety. You will assist with TPMS sensors, oil changes, batteries, and basic inspections, contributing to fast, reliable service for guests.

Ideal candidates bring tire or automotive service experience, a strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail, with the ability to lift 70 lbs and work on your feet.

Qualifications

• Tire/lube or automotive service experience preferred.
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and a team-first attitude.
• Detail-oriented, safety-minded, and eager to grow.
• Physically able to lift 70 lbs and work on your feet.
• Flexible availability, including weekends, since that’s when our guests rely on us most.

Responsibilities

• Mount, dismount, balance, and rotate tires.
• Repair flats and inflate to spec.
• Test, replace, register, and reset TPMS sensors.
• Perform oil changes and replace filters; conduct visual inspections and document issues.
• Test and install batteries.
• Stock inventory and maintain shop cleanliness and safety standards.
• Work with your team to deliver fast, accurate, elite service.
• Opportunity to progress into light mechanical services (brakes, suspension, alignments) as skills and experience allow.
