Job summary

Waukegan Tire is seeking a Tire Technician to mount, balance, and rotate tires, repair flats, and service TPMS sensors. The role includes oil changes, battery checks, and maintaining a clean, safe shop environment while providing fast, accurate, and elite service with a team-driven mindset.

Ideal candidates have tire/lube or automotive service experience, a strong work ethic, safety-minded approach, and a willingness to grow into light mechanical services such as brakes and alignments as skills

Qualifications

• Tire/lube or automotive service experience preferred.
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and a team-first attitude.
• Detail-oriented, safety-minded, and eager to grow.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Physically able to lift 70 lbs and work on your feet.
• Flexible availability, including weekends, since that’s when our guests rely on us most.

Responsibilities

• Mount, dismount, balance, and rotate tires
• Repair flats and inflate to spec
• Test, replace, register, and reset TPMS sensors
• Perform oil changes and replace filters
• Conduct visual inspections and document issues
• Test and install batteries
• Stock inventory and maintain shop cleanliness and safety standards
• Work with your team to deliver fast, accurate, elite service
• Opportunity to progress into light mechanical services (brakes, suspension, alignments) as skills and experience allow
