Job summary

The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company is seeking entry-level team members for our retread plants in Texas. You will join the retread team to extend tire life by recapping, remolding, and applying new tread under supervision. Training is provided, no prior experience required, and all selected candidates receive comprehensive benefits.

Starting pay ranges from $18.00 to $22.00 per hour, DOE, with full benefits including 401(k) and health plans. This is a hands-on role in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Candidates must be at least 18 years of age.
• Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
• Basic Computer Skills
• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Previous experience in manufacturing / general labor (entry level) preferred

Responsibilities

• Inspect the tires to assess if they can be retread
• Buff the casing to remove worn tread
• Remove embedded objects, rust, and repair the tire casing
• Use rubber cement or a patch to repair the casing before applying new tread
• Build the tire by applying new tread
• Cure the tire to mold the retread application
• Perform final inspection to ensure a safe, quality product
