Job summary

Love's Travel Stops in Mooresville, IN is seeking a Tire Retread Machine Operator to join a fast-paced, safety‑minded team. You will inspect tires, repair casings, and operate buffing equipment.

Responsibilities

• Visually inspect tires to be retreaded and determine condition
• Repair casings if needed using proper procedures
• Operate buffing machine to remove existing treads and measure tread width
• Inspect finished retread with high‑pressure test machine for integrity
• Receive and unload supplies (tread rubber, cushion gum, repair materials, etc.)
• Assist in distribution center activities as assigned.

Job Functions:

• Visually inspect tires to be retreaded to determine condition


• Repairs casings, if needed, utilizing proper procedures and correct size repair patch


• Operate buffing machine to remove existing treads from tires and measure tires to determine proper tread width


• Inspect finished retread utilizing multiple-step high-pressure test machine to ensure the integrity of the casing


• Receive and unload supplies including tread rubber, cushion gum and repair materials, envelopes, curing rim, tire casings, rims, etc.


• Assist in distribution center activities as assigned.
