Job summary

Big O Tires is seeking a Tire and Lube Technician to perform routine maintenance such as oil changes and tire services. You will ensure vehicles are serviced safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards in a timely, professional manner.

The role requires basic automotive knowledge, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to lift up to 75 lbs. A fast-paced shop with opportunities for advancement and ongoing technical training.

Qualifications

• MUST HAVE: at least 1 year automotive school training or prior automotive maintenance experience.
• Basic understanding of vehicle systems and maintenance procedures.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs in a physically demanding environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
• Reliable, punctual, and customer-focused.
• ASE or TIA certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform oil changes, tire rotations, flat repairs and other routine maintenance.
• Inspect vehicles and communicate findings to service advisor or supervisor.
• Mount, balance, rotate, install and repair tires using approved equipment.
• Check and refill vehicle fluids (coolant, transmission, brake, windshield washer).
• Assist with wheel alignments (if certified or under supervision).
• Maintain inventory of tires and shop supplies; dispose of old tires and hazardous materials.
• Keep detailed service records and comply with safety standards.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe service area; deliver excellent customer service.
