Job summary

Gills Point S Tire is seeking a Tire & Lube Technician to perform tire mounting, balancing, and maintenance with a focus on safety and customer satisfaction. The role includes basic mechanical repairs and preventative maintenance, delivering quality service in a fast-paced shop.

You'll work hands-on with tires, fluids, and filters, communicate findings to customers, and help maintain a clean, organized workspace while supporting team goals.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Automotive, tire, or mechanical experience preferred.
• Technical or vocational automotive training is a plus.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Familiarity with tire mounting, balancing, and repair equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Mount, dismount, balance, rotate, and repair tires for passenger and light trucks.
• Perform oil and filter changes and inspect/top off vehicle fluids.
• Conduct light mechanical repairs and replacements (brakes, suspension, steering, etc.).
• Greet customers, explain findings and recommendations, and document services.
• Maintain a clean, organized work environment and assist with inventory.
