Job summary

Main Street Auto in Greensboro, NC seeks a General Tire and Lube Technician to join our team. You will perform tire rotations, oil changes, inspections, and wheel alignments while maintaining safety and quality in a fast-paced shop.

Qualifications

• State certification for inspections is required.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience as tire and lube technician or similar role preferred.
• Proficient tire installation, repair, and oil change procedures.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to operate shop equipment safely and efficiently.
• Excellent attention to detail and time management.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a team and independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Perform tire rotations, installations and repairs with precision and efficiency.
• Conduct oil changes, filter replacements and fluid checks.
• Perform basic vehicle inspections and identify safety concerns.
• Conduct wheel alignments and balance tires for even tread wear.
• Maintain accurate service records including parts and time spent.
• Assist customers with tire recommendations and inquiries.
• Adhere to safety protocols in a shop environment.
