Job summary

Main Street Auto in Mountain View, NC is seeking a General Tire & Lube Technician to join a professional, high‑performing team. You will perform tire rotations, installations, oil changes, and basic vehicle inspections to help keep customer vehicles safe and running smoothly.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or equivalent, strong mechanical aptitude, good time-management, and excellent customer service. Prior tire & lube experience is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous Tire & Lube Technician experience preferred but not required.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to safely operate shop tools and equipment.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Good time-management and ability to work efficiently.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform tire rotations, installations, repairs, and balancing.
• Complete oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid services.
• Conduct basic vehicle inspections to identify maintenance needs or safety concerns.
• Assist with wheel alignments and verify proper handling and tire wear.
• Maintain accurate service records, including parts used and time spent.
• Provide friendly, helpful service when assisting customers with tire or maintenance questions.
• Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area.
