Job description

Position Summary...

As a Tire & Battery Center Technician, you will work to provide safe and efficient service in both the sales and service areas of the department. Your goal is to deliver more of what our members love, for less. You will collaborate with other associates to ensure the club meets members' expectations.

What you'll do...
  1. Be a Team Member: Collaborate with team members to fulfill sales and service requests, educate others on tools, tasks, resources, and mentor new technicians. Communicate effectively and develop interpersonal skills for providing safe and efficient customer service.
  2. Be an Expert: Demonstrate knowledge of safety and compliance protocols, tire and battery industry guidelines, service standards, equipment operations, TPMS, product specifications, and seasonality. Show proficiency in Point of Sale systems and sales techniques.
  3. Be a Techie: Use digital tools to plan and drive sales, improve service, and enhance associate engagement. Utilize handheld technology for immediate business decisions related to services, safety, and training.
  4. Be an Owner: Communicate needs for equipment, tools, and supplies. Manage returns, special orders, and operate cash registers. Maintain inventory accuracy, safety standards, and report issues. Assist members with purchasing decisions and resolve concerns.
  5. Be a Talent Ambassador: Promote the brand by valuing the member experience, modeling high-quality service, and inspiring others. Understand and help overcome roadblocks, and contribute to a respectful, supportive team culture.
  6. Act with Integrity: Uphold high standards of ethics and compliance. Support company values, hold oneself and others accountable, and promote a positive culture.
  7. Serve our Customers and Members: Focus on delivering results with the customer first in mind. Make decisions based on reliable information, balancing short- and long-term priorities.
  8. Strive for Excellence: Cultivate curiosity, take calculated risks, and support continuous improvement and adaptation to new technologies and skills.

The hourly wage range is $18.00 to $25.00, with potential premiums based on specific circumstances. The actual rate will meet or exceed the applicable minimum wage.

Minimum Qualifications...
  • Valid state-issued driver's license.
  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Ability to successfully complete all required training and assessments within the prescribed time.
Preferred Qualifications...
  • Experience in the auto service industry or retail.
