Job summary

Sam's Club in Zanesville, OH is hiring for a Tire & Battery Center associate. The role focuses on safe operations, organized displays, and assisting members with tire and battery services, installations, and product recommendations.

You will use Sam’s Garage knowledge and POS systems to support purchases and service decisions. The position emphasizes safety compliance, strong customer service, and teamwork to drive sales and ensure member satisfaction at the TBC.

Qualifications

• Valid state-issued driver's license.
• 18 years of age or older.
• Preferred: Auto service industry, Retail experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintains facility and sales floor safety and standards by adhering to safety policies and procedures, including safety sweeps, forklift and hazardous material handling requirements, and reporting unsafe situations.
• Keeps Tire and Battery Center sales floor organized, stocked, zoned, and merchandised per policy; handles claims, returns, shrink, and damages.
• Monitors tire and battery orders daily; assists with installation appointments; communicates lead times and cancellations, and suggests alternatives for installation or tire fitments.
• Provides expert member service and recommendations by greeting members, assessing needs, assisting with purchasing decisions, and explaining warranties and service options.
• Drives sales and service excellence in TBC by promoting products and services and coordinating with the team to boost awareness.
• Triages service workflow in TBC bays; prioritizes appointments to maximize efficiency and communicate with the Team Lead or Technicians.
• Demonstrates knowledge of safety, compliance, TPMS, product specs, POS systems, and selling techniques.
• Leverages handheld devices and digital tools to plan sales and improve the service experience; encourages adoption among team members.
• Serves as a brand advocate by delivering high-quality service and mentoring teammates.
• Completes vehicle service requests, tests, and uses equipment safely; handles receipts, returns, and exchanges per policy.
