Job summary

Puyallup Tribe of Indians is seeking a THV-Safety Coordinator for the Tiny Homes Village. This full-time role focuses on safety, reporting, and incident management within a tribal housing community.

The position requires trauma-informed service, strong communication, and the ability to coordinate with police and emergency services. Salary is market-competitive with a benefits package; open now through October 7, 2026.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience working with homeless populations or high-risk populations; personal experience acceptable.
• Beginner computer skills in Word and Excel, and Outlook required.

Responsibilities

• Foster positive relationships with residents with trauma-informed customer service.
• Monitor resident behavior and ensure compliance with village policies.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for residents, guests, staff, and visitors.
• Conduct routine patrols of housing units, common areas, and surrounding grounds.
• Monitor security cameras and observe activity to identify safety issues.
• Control and monitor access to the village, check-in visitors, and escort as needed.
• Respond promptly to emergencies and incidents following policies and procedures.
• Assist in de-escalation and crisis support during incidents.
• Coordinate with law enforcement and emergency responders when required.
• Enforce safety procedures and emergency protocols, including evacuations and lockdowns.
