Job summary

Wieland is hiring a Tinning Assistant for on-site work in Carol Stream, IL. The role supports production of material, including packaging, handling, and operating tin line machines as directed by the foreman. Starting pay is $24/hr and the shift is 1st shift (6am-2:30pm).

Responsibilities include safe operation of Sit Down forklifts, unloading trucks, stocking inventory, taring skids, and assisting the operator with machine tasks. Prior forklift experience and ability to read specs are required.

Qualifications

• Experience handling Sit Down Forklifts and forklift safety procedures.
• Ability to read and interpret customer specifications and QA Alerts.
• Commitment to company safety policies, PPE, attendance and dress code.

Responsibilities

• Operate and assist on the tin line per Foreman instructions.
• Package material per customer specs and QA alerts; support operator.
• Move, store and transport material; assist with machine duties as required.
