Job summary

ASML US, LP is seeking a Principal Scientist – Tin Management Architect to lead the next-generation Tin Management architecture for future EUV source development in San Diego. You will define the long-term roadmap, guide experimental campaigns, and align research with product teams to drive architecture decisions.

The role combines deep technical work with systems thinking and collaboration across physics, engineering, modeling, and cost considerations.

Qualifications

  • PhD with 5+ years in complex physical systems or related areas.
  • Experience with modeling, simulations, and data-driven decisions.
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain long-term tech roadmaps.
  • Ability to influence technical direction across teams.

Responsibilities

  • Define long-term Tin Management architecture and roadmap.
  • Shape strategies for test rigs and learning plans.
  • Specify modeling, AI, and data capabilities for decisions.
  • Align research, engineering, and product teams with leadership.
  • Document learnings and present recommendations to leadership.
  • Work across disciplines on challenging system-level problems.
  • Provide technical leadership while doing hands-on work ~50% of time.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
