Job summary

Brown & Root Industrial Services in the United States is seeking a Track Timekeeper to accurately record and monitor worker hours on rail, construction, or industrial projects. You will verify timesheets, classify jobs, handle cost codes, and enter data into payroll and project management systems daily, while ensuring union rules and labor laws are followed.

This role requires attention to detail, solid Excel skills, and the ability to coordinate with supervisors, HR, and payroll to resolve

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred.
• 2+ years in timekeeping, payroll, or admin support in rail/construction/industrial settings preferred.
• Strong knowledge of timekeeping systems and payroll processes.
• Familiarity with union agreements and prevailing wage is a plus.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and office software; ERP/payroll experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills; good communication.

Responsibilities

• Record daily employee work hours, classifications, and cost codes for crews.
• Maintain records of straight time, overtime, double time, and per diem.
• Verify crew sheets and timesheets for accuracy before submission.
• Enter timekeeping data into payroll/project management systems daily.
• Ensure compliance with union rules, company policies, and labor laws.
• Communicate with supervisors, HR, and payroll to resolve discrepancies.
• Track absences, vacation, sick time, and other leave categories.
• Support labor cost reports and forecasts for project management.
• Maintain confidentiality of employee records and payroll data.
• Provide admin support for crew scheduling, onboarding, or certification tracking.
