Blackrock Logistics, Inc. is seeking a Payroll & Timekeeping Specialist to manage daily timecard processing and payroll data accuracy.

The role requires collaboration with drivers, supervisors, and management to resolve discrepancies and ensure timely payroll processing. Ideal candidates are highly organized, detail-oriented, fluent in English and Spanish, with experience in hourly transportation workforces and strong Excel skills.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in payroll, timekeeping, payroll administration, or HR administration.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is required.
• Experience supporting a large hourly workforce preferred.
• Strong Excel skills and experience with payroll/timekeeping systems.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to identify discrepancies and research their cause.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
• Ability to work with employees at all levels, including drivers and management.

Responsibilities

• Review timecards for accuracy, completeness, and policy compliance.
• Monitor and resolve missing, incomplete, or unusual time entries with employees and managers.
• Review hours, overtime, vacation, sick time, holidays, and other paid time.
• Reconcile timekeeping records with payroll data and operator logs.
• Research and resolve discrepancies between timekeeping and payroll records.
• Provide corrections to timecards and document changes.
• Ensure timecards are approved by employees and managers before payroll deadlines.
• Serve as the primary contact for timekeeping and payroll questions.
• Educate employees and managers on timekeeping procedures and policies.
• Escalate complex payroll issues to leadership.
• Prepare and review timekeeping information for payroll processing.
• Perform pre-payroll audits and reconcile data to payroll reports.
• Verify overtime, bonuses, deductions, and other payroll items.
• Maintain accurate payroll and timekeeping records.
• Identify wage-hour discrepancies and generate regular reports.
• Assist with payroll reporting and audits as needed.
