Job summary

Rayonier is seeking a Timberlands Forester I to join our team. In this developmental role, you will gain hands-on experience under the mentorship of seasoned forestry leaders, building the technical, financial, and operational skills needed to manage land resources independently.

You will support budgeting, silvicultural planning, forest inventory, and field activities while working across teams and contractors.

Qualifications

• Foundational knowledge of forestry and forest management principles.
• Experience with silviculture, harvesting, forest inventory, or land management is preferred.
• Willingness to learn GIS and forestry-related technology, including Microsoft 365 applications.

Responsibilities

• Assist with gathering stand- and project-level information for budgets and capital programs.
• Assist in developing site activity plans and long-term silviculture plans.
• Support forest inventory activities, including data collection and prescription development.
• Assist with contractor administration, safety compliance, and reviewing invoices for accuracy.
