Job summary

Rayonier Inc. seeks a proactive Timberlands Forester I to join our team. In this developmental role you will gain hands-on experience under experienced forestry leaders, building skills in financial, planning and operational forest management.

You will assist with budgets, stand inventories, silvicultural activities and contractor coordination while learning GIS and data systems. This role requires a degree in forestry and a strong willingness to grow professionally.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Forestry, Forest Management, Natural Resources or related field.
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a developmental role under mentorship.
• Foundational knowledge of forest management practices and silviculture.

Responsibilities

• Assist with gathering stand- and project-level information for budgets and capital programs.
• Track expenditures and communicate variances for assigned activities.
• Support site activity plan development and reforestation, thinning and herbicide tasks.
• Aid in forest inventory, data updates, and prescription development.
• Assist with contractor administration and safety/compliance checks.
