Idaho Forest Group seeks a Timber Accountant to ensure accurate raw material procurement accounting and timely payments. You will manage timber contracts, reconcile monthly accounts, support weigh stations, and provide documentation for annual audits.

The role involves vendor communication, bid bond preparation, contract review, and cost accounting analysis, with cross-functional collaboration across finance and operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of accounting experience.
• Working knowledge of accounting principles.
• Knowledge of local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
• Proficiency with computer systems and office equipment.
• Strong analytical and organizational abilities.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsabilités

• Process and reconcile monthly raw materials liability and AR where applicable.
• Set up, maintain, and manage timber contracts in the accounting system.
• Manage semi-monthly timber accounts payable check runs and contractor payments.
• Audit and manage timber purchase information by reviewing contracts and loads for accuracy daily.
• Respond to timber vendor inquiries and coordinate with foresters/contractors.
• Support annual audits with documentation and cross-functional collaboration.
