Job summary

Timber Products Co. is seeking an Accountant to support its Admin and Sales Company. The Accountant will perform core accounting tasks, including credit and collections, month-end journal entries, audit preparation, and troubleshooting.

Must be able to work in the office; remote work is not offered. The role involves monthly closes, reporting, tax compliance, and assistance with system implementations and process improvements.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in an Accountant role or equivalent
• Experience in credit and collections
• Experience with an integrated ERP system preferred
• Detail oriented and organized
• Proficient in MS Office and Outlook
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment

Responsibilities

• Process daily credit and collections activities
• Support monthly close including journal entries in two systems
• Prepare month-end close and reconciliations
• Assist with audit preparation and support
• Manage property tax and sales/use tax reports
• Support invoicing, cash application, banking, inventory and AP processing
• Review payments for accuracy and approvals
• Assist with annual profit plan preparation
• Contribute to accounting system and policy improvements
• Collaborate with Controller and staff on closing and reporting
