Job summary

Idaho Forest Group is seeking a Buyer to coordinate supplier activities and manage material purchases per order specifications. The role focuses on supplier performance in delivery, quality, cost, and responsiveness, with opportunities to support sourcing strategies and procurement audits.

The position requires 4+ years in procurement, MRP experience, and strong analytical and communication skills. Valid driver's license and ability to travel are required.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent required.
• 4+ years of experience in procurement or related field.
• Experience with MRP environments.
• Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal direction.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel for business.

Responsibilities

• Contributing to cost reduction initiatives for responsible locations.
• Evaluate Supplier quotes and services.
• Prepares and processes purchasing orders.
• Maintains cooperative working relationship with Suppliers to stay current with trends and technologies, products, and services.
• Resolves problems and issues arising from purchases of goods, services, supplies and equipment with internal and external customers.
• Monitors On-Time Deliveries (OTD).
• Expedite shipments.
• Prepares documentation for product to be Returned to Vendor (RTV).
• Actively participate in required training and development programs and electives as suits one’s needs, and support colleagues, trainers, and management as appropriate with these efforts.
• Other duties as needed.
