Job summary

New Energy Works Timber Frame Project Engineer/Manager maintains full ownership of the design, engineering, and execution of projects from project hand-off to fabrication. This role creates a 3D fabrication model and 2D drawings, secures necessary approvals, and orders materials to complete the project with the team.

The Project Engineer/Manager serves as the main client contact and can be based in Portland Design Studio or McMinnville Shop, with in-person collaboration across departments.

Qualifications

• Own the design, engineering and execution of timber frame projects from hand-off to fabrication.
• Create a 3D fabrication model and 2D drawings for review with the project team.
• Obtain approvals from clients, architects and general contractors throughout the project.
• Order materials and track purchases, changes and invoicing in the ERP system.

Responsibilities

• Lead project milestones and verify contract scope and estimates.
• Coordinate sample creation and client approvals for finish selections.
• Review fabrication drawings with clients and revise until approved.
• Maintain project documentation and order status across the process.
