Job summary

New Energy Works Timber Frame is seeking a Project Engineer/Manager to own the design, engineering, and execution of timber frame projects from hand-off to fabrication. The role reports to the General Manager and collaborates with shop craftspeople and multiple teams across the organization.

Based in the Portland Design Studio or McMinnville Shop, you will develop 3D fabrication models and 2D drawings, manage vendor buys, coordinate client meetings, and ensure changes are captured in Acumatica

Qualifications

• Requires ability to own design, engineering, and execution from hand-off to fabrication.
• Ability to create 3D fabrication models and 2D drawings and obtain fabrication approvals.
• Coordinate with clients, architects, general contractors, and shop teams to drive projects to completion.

Responsibilities

• Own contract scope and milestones; generate project milestones.
• Place purchase orders to vendors and manage material orders.
• Track changes, issue change orders to clients, and maintain project docs in the ERP system.
