Job summary

New Energy Works in the eastern United States seeks an Architectural Designer to bring custom timber frame visions to life, collaborating with architects, engineers, and builders from concept through construction.

This full-time, in-office role focuses on sustainable, high-performance design, client-facing projects, and learning from a team of skilled designers and craftspeople, with strong benefits and ESOP ownership.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience in architecture practice.
• 4 year degree in Architecture related field.
• Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Revit.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office programs.
• High attention to detail.
• Highly collaborative, ability to work effectively with a team.
• Experience with construction documentation.
• Highly organized, great note taker.
• Ability to manage multiple project deliverables and prioritize.
• Interest in sustainable and high performance design practices.

Responsibilities

• Project initiation: gather site and zoning information, set up project files, review codes, reach out to local jurisdictions, document existing conditions as builds.
• Design modeling and visualization: develop initial concept designs from design manager feedback, create models in Revit and Enscape, develop client presentation packages.
• Construction drawing documentation: set up drawing sets in Revit, prepare plans/elevations/sections/details, manage document revisions.
