Job summary
New Energy Works in Farmington, NY is seeking a Project Designer & Manager to bring together design, DFMA, and timber-frame fabrication. You will develop buildable models from architect-designed concepts, coordinate design decisions, and guide projects from handoff through fabrication and installation.
The role blends design with hands-on problem solving, requiring collaboration with architects, engineers, shop craftspeople, and field teams; a degree is helpful but not required, PMP not
Qualifications
- Experience in construction, architectural detailing, timber framing, or related fields.
- Ability to translate design concepts into buildable timber-frame solutions.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities
- Develop 3D models and detailed drawings for fabrication and installation.
- Coordinate design decisions and approvals with architects and engineers.
- Guide projects from handoff through fabrication and site installation.
- Collaborate with shop craftspeople, field teams, and contractors.
- Review fabrication drawings and manage revisions through approval.
- Maintain precise documentation and project milestones.
