Scott Humphrey Corporation seeks an experienced Construction Superintendent to lead tilt-wall commercial projects from mobilization through completion, ensuring safety, quality, and on-time delivery. The role requires hands-on field leadership and a strong background in tilt-wall construction in Texas.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years as a superintendent on tilt-wall projects, with the ability to coordinate subs, schedules, and field operations across the Houston market and adjacent markets.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial construction Superintendent experience.
• MANDATORY: Previous Superintendent experience managing tilt-wall construction projects.
• Strong understanding of commercial construction means, methods, sequencing, and scheduling.
• Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work onsite throughout the Houston market.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day field operations from mobilization through completion and closeout.
• Manage and coordinate subcontractors, vendors, suppliers, inspectors, and field personnel across all phases of construction.
• Coordinate tilt-wall construction activities, including panel layout, forming, reinforcing, embeds, concrete placement, panel erection, structural connections, and associated scopes.
• Develop and maintain project schedules while proactively identifying and resolving issues that could impact schedule or budget.
• Manage site logistics, manpower, sequencing, material deliveries, crane operations, inspections, and overall field coordination.
• Review construction drawings, specifications, and shop drawings to identify conflicts, constructability issues, and coordination concerns.
• Coordinate closely with the Project Manager, owner, architect, engineers, subcontractors, and vendors.
• Lead subcontractor coordination meetings and participate in OAC and internal project meetings.
• Monitor subcontractor performance and ensure work is completed according to contract documents, quality standards, and project schedules.
• Maintain high standards for jobsite safety, quality control, housekeeping, and documentation.
• Identify potential delays, scope gaps, and field issues and develop proactive solutions.
• Maintain daily reports, manpower tracking, schedules, quality documentation, and other required field records.
• Support punch list, commissioning, turnover, and project closeout activities.
