Build Talent LLC is partnering with Houston-based general contractors and design-build firms to place experienced Construction Superintendents specializing in ground-up Tilt-Wall and industrial construction.

The role oversees field operations, coordinates subcontractors, manages schedules, enforces safety, and drives projects from site development to turnover on warehouses, distribution centers, and manufacturing facilities in the Houston area.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Superintendent experience in commercial general contracting or industrial construction.
• Direct ground-up Tilt Wall construction experience strongly preferred.
• Proven experience delivering warehouse, distribution center, manufacturing, light industrial, or large-scale commercial projects.
• Experience coordinating MEP trades, subcontractors, and multiple construction scopes.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily field operations for ground-up tilt-wall, light industrial, and commercial projects.
• Manage projects from sitework through turnover, including foundations and tilt-wall erection.
• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, field personnel, inspections, and deliveries.
• Develop, maintain, and execute construction schedules to meet milestones.
• Oversee concrete operations, tilt-wall panel installation, structural steel, roofing, and MEP coordination.
• Lead weekly subcontractor coordination meetings and maintain clear communication with stakeholders.

Superintendent – Tilt-Wall & Industrial Construction

About the Opportunity

We are partnering with several well Established General contractors and Design Build Firms throughout the Houston market seeking experienced Construction Superintendents specializing in ground-up Tilt-wall and Industrial Construction.

These opportunities involve overseeing a variety of commercial and industrial developments, including distribution centers, warehouses, manufacturing facilities, cold storage facilities, business parks, and large scale industrial campuses.

We are seeking experienced field leaders who understand the complexities of ground-up construction, can effectively manage subcontractors and project schedules, and take ownership of projects from initial site development through final turnover.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all daily field operations for ground-up tilt-wall, light industrial, and commercial construction projects.
• Manage projects from sitework, foundations, and concrete tilt-wall erection through structural completion, interior buildout, and final turnover.
• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, field personnel, inspections, deliveries, and construction activities.
• Develop, maintain, and execute construction schedules to ensure project milestones are achieved.
• Oversee concrete operations, tilt-wall panel installation, structural steel erection, roofing, building envelope, and MEP coordination.
• Work closely with Project Managers, Assistant Superintendents, Project Engineers, architects, engineers, and ownership teams.
• Lead weekly subcontractor coordination meetings and maintain clear communication with project stakeholders.
• Monitor field productivity, manpower allocation, material deliveries, and overall project progress.
• Enforce OSHA safety requirements, company safety programs, and jobsite quality standards.
• Review construction drawings, specifications, RFIs, and project documentation to identify and resolve potential conflicts.
• Coordinate inspections, permitting requirements, punch lists, and final project closeout.
• Manage multiple buildings, construction phases, and subcontractor scopes on larger industrial developments when applicable.
• Identify scheduling challenges, construction conflicts, and potential delays while implementing proactive solutions.
• Maintain professional relationships with owners, subcontractors, inspectors, and project stakeholders.

Qualifications & Experience

• 5+ years of Superintendent experience within commercial general contracting or industrial construction.
• Direct ground-up Tilt Wall construction experience strongly preferred.
• Proven experience delivering warehouse, distribution center, manufacturing, light industrial, or large-scale commercial projects.
• Strong knowledge of site development, foundations, concrete tilt-wall systems, structural steel, roofing, and building envelope construction.
• Experience coordinating MEP trades, subcontractors, and multiple construction scopes.
• Demonstrated ability to manage construction schedules, site logistics, safety, quality control, and field operations.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and project schedules.
• Experience overseeing large-scale developments, multiple buildings, or phased industrial projects is highly desirable.
• Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Experience with Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, or similar construction management platforms is a plus.
• OSHA 30 certification preferred.
• Ability to successfully manage projects independently while collaborating with the broader project management team.
