Job summary

Westlake is seeking a Machine Operator I to support the production team in tile manufacturing. The role involves water treatment, pH checks, safety policy adherence, daily logging, and operating the strapping machine and kiln exit QC.

You will also inspect tiles, assist with packaging, and keep the workspace clean and safe. Ideal candidates have 6–12 months of tile manufacturing experience, basic math skills, and forklift familiarity.

Qualifications

• Basic arithmetic and measurement skills.
• Reading and following simple instructions required.
• 6–12 months color or tile manufacturing experience preferred.
• Forklift experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Comply with Westlake safety policies and procedures.
• Water treatment: treat process water and monitor pH.
• Operate strapping machine and inspect tiling packaging.
• Quality checks at kiln exit and packaging of tile.
• Maintain daily logs and notify supervisor of issues.
• Clean equipment and work areas daily.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
