Job summary

Westlake Royal Building Products is seeking a Machine Operator I to work under the supervision of the Production Supervisor. This role involves operating and supporting tile production processes, performing water treatment, ensuring tile quality, and maintaining packaging and sealer areas.

The position requires basic math skills, ability to read simple instructions, several months of tile manufacturing exposure, and forklift experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Able to read, comprehend and follow simple instructions.
• 6 months to 1 year of color or tile manufacturing experience.
• 6 months Forklift driving experience desired.

Responsibilities

• Comply with Westlake Safety Policies and Procedures.
• Regular attendance, timeliness and scheduling flexibility.
• Water treatment: Treat process water by adding flocculent to disperse solids and check pH before discharging to city.
• Inspect tile on the dry side and maintain the sealer area including cleaning the sealer booth.
• Operate the strapping machine to secure pallets of tile.
• Perform quality checks of tile and packaging at kiln exit.
• Clean equipment and the work areas daily and notify supervisor of any problems.
• All other duties as assigned by supervisor.
