Job summary

Westlake Chemical is seeking a Machine Operator I to support production under supervision. The role involves multiple tasks across water treatment, tile inspection, sealing, and packaging, with focus on safety and quality.

Candidates should have basic math skills, reading comprehension, and 6 months to 1 year in tile manufacturing; forklift experience is a plus. This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• Able to read, comprehend and follow simple instructions.
• 6 months to 1 year of color or tile manufacturing experience.

Responsibilities

• Comply with safety policies and procedures.
• Regular attendance, timeliness and scheduling flexibility.
• Water treatment: Treat process water and log discharges.
• Inspect tile; maintain sealer area cleanliness.
• Operate strapping machine to secure pallets.
• Perform kiln exit quality checks and tile packaging.
• Clean equipment and work areas daily; report issues.
• All other duties as assigned by supervisor.

6 months Forklift driving experience desired.
