Job summary

Eaton's ALP Airport Lighting Products division in Windsor, CT is seeking a Sheet Metal Fabricator / Welder. The role focuses on precision sheet metal fabrication, fabricating and assembling custom components for airport lighting products.

You will perform TIG, MIG and spot welding, read blueprints, and set up equipment like press brakes, CNC turret punches, PEM insertion equipment, and saws. The position requires a HS diploma and US work authorization.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
• Experience TIG welding aluminum in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and blueprints.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate, modify, and assemble sheet metal components using drawings, work instructions, and specifications.
• Perform TIG, MIG, and spot-welding operations on aluminum and steel components.
• Work with material thicknesses ranging from .030 to .250 inches.
• Set up and operate fabrication equipment including press brakes, shears, CNC turret punches, PEM insertion equipment, Bridgeport mills, and metal-cutting saws.
• Inspect completed work for dimensional accuracy and quality compliance.
• Read and interpret blueprints and fabrication drawings.
