Job summary

Howden, a global engineering business focused on air and gas handling, seeks a Welder/Fabricator at our Windsor, CT location. You will weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions, perform TIG and MIG welding, and review blueprints to determine materials and procedures.

You will also set up fabricating machines, verify conformance to specifications, and maintain a safe, clean work area on the production floor. High school diploma or GED and 3+ years welding experience are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years welding experience required.
• Current and valid certification is a plus.
• Must possess mechanical aptitude and be detail oriented.

Responsibilities

• Weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions.
• Perform TIG and MIG welding daily.
• Review blueprints, work instructions, and job specifications to determine materials, tools, and procedures.
• Layout, position, and secure parts prior to assembly and welding.
