Johnson Controls in Waynesboro is seeking a skilled TIG welder to join our growing HVAC systems team. You’ll perform TIG welding on carbon, galvanized, and stainless steel while ensuring precise layouts, cuts, and fittings to meet drawings. The ideal candidate has proven TIG and pipe welding experience, with a high school diploma or GED. A welding training program completion is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Proven TIG welding experience.
• Proven pipe welding experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform TIG welding on carbon, galvanized, and stainless steel.
• Weld, layout, cut, and fit parts to meeting drawing tolerances.
• Use plasma and oxygen cutting tools.
• Regulate current, voltage, and select proper tips, rods, and sizes for each job.
• Assemble complex standard products, including tubing layout and pipe bending.
• Clean equipment using hand or power tools after welding.
