Job summary

Johnson Controls in Waynesboro, VA is seeking a skilled TIG welder with pipe welding experience to join our growing HVAC systems team. You will work in a supportive environment that values craftsmanship and offers opportunities for growth.

Responsibilities include TIG welding on various metals, layout and fitting, and using plasma/oxygen cutting tools. A high school diploma or GED and proven TIG and pipe welding experience are required.

• Weld, layout, cut, and fit parts to meet drawing tolerances.

• Regulate current, voltage, and select proper tips, rods, and sizes for each job.
• Assemble complex standard products, including tubing layout and pipe bending.
• Clean equipment using hand or power tools after welding.
