Job summary

Welder / Fabricator at Aerotek in Monroe, WA. You will fabricate components in a custom aluminum plant, perform MIG welding on aluminum and mild steel, and read blueprints to support quick-turn production in a busy shop.

This contract-to-hire role requires precise welding, layout mathematics, tool handling (drills, tape measures, levels, scissor lifts), and a strong commitment to safety in a hands-on fabrication environment.

Qualifications

MIG welding on aluminum and mild steel 0.080–0.750 in.
Read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings to determine tooling, setup and sequences.
Ability to plan stock inventory and maintain a safe, clean work environment.

Responsibilities

Execute MIG welds on aluminum and mild steel as specified in job orders.
Read shop drawings to determine tooling requirements, setup procedures, control settings, and machining methods.
Maintain and adjust welding machines for different materials and thicknesses.
Operate drills, tape measures, levels, and scissor lifts to support fabrication tasks.
Plan stock inventory and ensure materials are available for production.
Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions.
Adhere to safety guidelines in a busy fabrication shop.
