SpaceX is hiring a TIG Welder for the Raptor engine system team on 2nd shift (3:30 PM – 2:00 AM) in Hawthorne. The role covers welding, assembly, and fabrication of fluid systems, with focus on quality and precision as part of the Starship/Super Heavy programs.

The position requires aerospace TIG welding experience and blueprint literacy, with opportunities for long-term incentives, comprehensive benefits, and overtime as needed.

Competenze

• High school diploma or equivalency required.
• 1+ years of aerospace TIG welding experience.
• 1+ years of experience fitting welded assemblies.

Mansioni

• Welding, assembly, and fabrication of fluid systems and sub-assemblies.
• Repair casting defects via grinding, welding, and blending.
• Analyze drawings/specs to plan welding operations; read blueprints.
• Use precise tools (micrometers, depth gauges, calipers).
• Drive continuous improvement to reduce cycle time and optimize processes.
• Operate shop equipment and vehicles (forklifts, boom/scissor lifts).
• Conduct in-process inspection.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area.
• Own weld area equipment and processes.
• Proactively solve problems, pursue cost reductions.
