Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a TIG Welder (Starship Components) for the 2nd shift in Hawthorne, CA. Responsibilities include welding, assembling, fabricating fluid systems, and reading drawings. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and 1+ year TIG welding experience or a welding certificate.

Ability to lift, stand, and operate heavy equipment is needed. Shift is 3:00PM–1:00AM with overtime possibilities. Prefer experience with stainless steel, carbon steel, and aerospace TIG welding, along with

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency.
• 1+ years TIG welding experience or welding certificate.

Responsibilities

• Weld, assemble, and fabricate various fluid systems and sub-assemblies.
• Read and interpret technical drawings and follow detailed work instructions.
• Use precision calibrated tools – torque wrenches, micrometers and calipers.
• Operate forklifts, cranes and heavy equipment.
• Perform blending, filing and shearing of sheet metal parts.
