Responsibilities

  • Add hardness beads prior to machining.
  • Resolve porosity and weld defects as they occur.
  • Prepare welds and perform deburrs.
  • Operate hardness test machines.
  • Read and follow operational sketches.
  • Maintain welding certification status and follow handbook policies.

Salary
  • Minimum starting salary $23.00

  • Shift premiums:
    • 2nd shift: $2.00/hour
    • 3rd shift: $3.00/hour
  • Training may be completed on 1st shift for several months if needed

Job Summary

Perform welding on specified jobs as needed.

Essential Functions
  • Add hardness beads prior to machining.
  • Resolve problems with porosity, lack of fusion, voids, lack of welds etc. as they occur.
  • Perform welder prep prior to welding and weld deburr.
  • Operate hardness test machines.
  • Ability to read, understand and follow operational sketches.
  • Follow policies and procedures as outlined in Employee Handbook.
  • Must maintain welding certification status and perform all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Job Specifications

Education:

  • High School diploma/GED required.
  • Use of basic math, including decimals and fractions and basic skills knowledge are required for this position.

Experience:

  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Welding experience preferred.
