We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Permanent TIG Welder to join our team. This position is a fantastic opportunity to work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment in the manufacturing industry, where your skills and expertise in fabrication will be put to the test. As a TIG Welder, you will be responsible for producing high-quality welds in accordance with specified standards and procedures. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, possessing a deep understanding of welding techniques, equipment, and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Reading and interpreting blueprints and sketches to understand job specifications.
• Using TIG welding techniques to assemble and fabricate metal parts.
• Inspecting and testing welded surfaces and structures to discover flaws.
• Setting up, operating, and maintaining welding equipment.
• Determining the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements.
• Assessing equipment, structures, materials, and job specifications for appropriate welding positions and methods.
• Monitoring the fitting, burning, and welding processes to avoid overheating of parts or warping, shrinking, distortion, or expansion of materials.
• Ensuring compliance with established health and safety protocols.
• Maintaining equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety.
• Working in collaboration with the team to meet production targets and deadlines.
  
  

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a TIG Welder in the manufacturing industry.
• Proven experience in using electrical or manual tools (saws, squares, calipers, etc.)
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.
• Professional Certification in welding (e.g., AWS Certified Welder) will be a plus.
• Knowledge of relative safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing (face-shield, gloves, etc.)
• Deftness and attention to detail.
• Proficient in English.
• Successful completion of a relevant apprenticeship program is required.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
• Excellent hand-eye coordination and physical stamina.
