Job summary

Lynch Bros Mfg in Phoenix is seeking an experienced Aerospace TIG Welder. The candidate will interpret blueprints and AWS symbols, set up welding equipment per WPS, and produce welds meeting strict aerospace standards. The role requires reading complex drawings and adhering to ITAR compliance.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent experience.
• 5 years of experience in Aerospace welding.
• Strong understanding of Fusion welding procedures & processes.
• Must have experience working with aerospace materials.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and AWS welding symbols.
• Ability to produce welds that pass a visual inspection and destructive test.
• Ability to use measuring tools (tape measures, squares, rules and dial calipers).
• Basic math skills; conversions and basic calculations.
• Knowledge of welding machines and set up.
• Ability to read, write and understand English.
• ITAR compliance.

Responsibilities

• Performs advanced welding activities with minimum instructions and supervision.
• Interprets complex blueprints, manufacturing drawings and written work instructions, and reads AWS welding symbols.
• Sets up welding equipment per Weld Process Specifications (WPS).
• Completes weldments to the AWS code and blueprint requirements.
• Positions weldment details using fixtures, jigs, tape measure, square, rule, and caliper to meet drawings and quality requirements.
• Observes and practices safety procedures and policies.
• Meets Qualification requirements per AWS D17.1/D17.1 class A for base metals and alloys, thickness and position.

AEROSPACE TIG WELDER - Only top-notch qualified aerospace TIG Welders need to apply

A well-established aerospace manufacturing company in Phoenix is looking for an experienced aerospace TIG Welder. You need to be detailed oriented, highly organized, creative, flexible and a great team player. Only qualified individuals need to apply.

Your tasks and responsibilities

• Performs advanced welding activities with minimum instructions and supervision
• Interprets complex blueprints, manufacturing drawing and written work instructions, as well as reads and interprets AWS welding symbols
• Sets up welding equipment in accordance with the appropriate Weld Process Specifications (WPS)
• Completes weldments to the applied AWS welding code and blueprint requirements
• Positions weldment details in location using fixtures, jigs, tape measure, square, rule, and caliper to meet blueprint, manufacturing drawings and quality requirements
• Observes and practices safety procedures and policies
• Perform and meet all Qualification requirements Per AWS D17.1/D17.1 (class A requirements) which includes qualifying to base metal groups: 4130 , 17.7 PH, 718, and Aluminum Alloys, thickness and position for both groove and fillet welds.

Knowledge and Experience Required
