Job summary

Collective Manufacturing Group LLC is seeking an experienced TIG Welder to produce high-quality, precision welds across a range of aerospace-grade materials. You will read blueprints, follow procedures and collaborate with Quality Control to ensure strict adherence to specifications.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with TIG welding certification.
• 4+ years of TIG welding experience in aerospace manufacturing or precision machining.
• Experience with aerospace alloys including Inconel, aluminum, stainless steel and titanium.
• Proficiency in reading operation sheets, blueprints and technical drawings.
• Ability to pass welding certification to aerospace standards.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment.
• Effective customer focused communication skills and teamwork mentality.

Responsibilities

• Perform TIG welding on a variety of materials to precise specifications, in compliance with written procedures to aerospace standards.

• Follow detailed work instructions and job travelers to ensure compliance with customer and industry requirements.
• Conduct in-process inspections and ensure quality standards are met.
• Prepare materials for welding by cleaning, fitting, and tracking components, and perform proper job set ups.
• Maintain welding equipment, tooling and workstation in clean, safe and good working order.
• Collaborate with Quality Control, Engineering and Production teams to resolve technical issues.
• Adhere to all company safety and quality procedures.

JOB SUMMARY: We are looking for an experienced TIG Welder who can weld a variety of materials, thicknesses and configurations, who will be capable of producing high-quality, precision welds and help enhance the productivity of our organization.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Perform TIG welding on a variety of materials to precise specifications, in compliance with written procedures to aerospace standards.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints and welding symbols.
• Follow detailed work instructions and job travelers to ensure compliance with customer and industry requirements.
• Conduct in-process inspections and ensure quality standards are met.
• Prepare materials for welding by cleaning, fitting, and tracking components, and perform proper job set ups.

• Proficiency in shop math, be able to accurately read operation sheets, blueprints and technical drawings.
• Ability to pass welding certification to aerospace standards.

• Effective customer focused communication skills and teamwork mentality.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Primary duties will be on the shop floor, working in a manufacturing environment.
• Must be able to stand/sit for extended periods of time while performing fine manual work.
• Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity in both hands.
• Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds unassisted, stand, squat, bend, twist, and reach often.
• Exposure to various temperatures, noise and vibration from power equipment, dust, and fumes.
• Demonstrated visual acuity and ability to satisfactorily pass annual eye exam.

Note: Candidates who are being considered for the position will be required to perform weld samples at interview.

First shift: Monday - Friday 7:00AM - 3:30PM (40 hours per week), optional overtime on Saturday, if available. Second shift: Monday - Thursday 3:15PM - 1:45AM (40 hours per week), optional overtime on Friday, if available.
