Job Description

The welder and fabricator position encompasses production welding, fabrication, and quality responsibilities. Duties include analyzing blueprints, performing welding jobs, maintaining production standards, and producing consistently accurate work. The role requires TIG/MIG welding in a fabrication shop, with a temp-to-perm opportunity based on attendance, work ethic, and performance.

Compensation

The hourly rate for this position is $20 - $30/hour. This range is an estimate based on skills, experience, education, training, geographic location, and other considerations. Pay history will not influence compensation where prohibited by law. Applications are accepted continuously unless a deadline is specified.

Responsibilities

• Correctly weld metal pieces together.
• Prepare materials for welding, including cutting, grinding, and cleaning metal.
• Utilize fabrication skills to complete all phases of fabrication.
• Provide feedback on the fabrication process regarding assembly order, design, materials, fixtures, and jigs.
• Design and create fixtures, ensuring proper documentation and standardized processes.
• Annotate and interpret customer blueprints for future reference.
• Consistently produce accurate work daily.
• Perform physical activities such as standing, sitting, twisting, gripping, bending, walking, stooping, pulling, kneeling, climbing stairs, reaching, and lifting items weighing 35 to 75 lbs.
• Work environment involves indoor industrial manufacturing with exposure to noise, moving equipment, and mechanical parts.
