Job summary

Kratos C5ISR seeks a skilled welder to join a metal fabrication team. You will perform TIG and MIG welding on steel and aluminum, read engineering drawings, and adhere to AWS and military standards.

Training on off shifts will precede a transition to first shift, with opportunities for growth in a defense industry environment. The role requires 2+ years of related experience, the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and comfort in a shop setting with noise and safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Reads engineering blueprints and welding symbols.
• Performs GMAW and GTAW welding per AWS and military codes.
• Operates plasma cutters, oxy-fuel torches, grinders and related tools.
• Must be able to pass welding tests per AWS and military standards.

Responsibilities

• Welds in multiple positions (flat, horizontal, vertical, overhead).
• Interprets blueprints and tolerances; prepares joints and fixtures.
• Inspects finished work with gauges and measurement devices.
• Maintains shop safety and uses PPE as required.
