Job summary

Accelevation is seeking a TIG/Laser Welder I for the 2nd shift to fabricate, assemble, and repair metal structures using welding techniques. You will read blueprints, set up parts, and ensure precision and quality across the production line.

Responsibilities include welding, cutting, grinding, finishing, and maintaining equipment, while prioritizing safety and process efficiency. A HS diploma and welding experience are preferred, with a collaborative, fast-paced team.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED; or 3–6 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 6+ months hands-on experience in welding and fabrication: cutting, welding/brazing, drilling, marking/engraving, welding of dissimilar metals a plus
• Proficient in welding safety, weld filler selection, weld processing parameters, fixturing
• Familiarity and experience with metallurgy, weld joint analysis, backing gas applications
• Strong cognitive and clear communication skills which emphasize attention to detail
• Self-motivated, with the ability to lead projects to completion with minimal oversight
• Be able to work independently and unsupervised while prioritizing tasks

Responsibilities

• Plans details of work order procedures; gathers required tools and materials based on instructions and specifications provided for the job
• Repairs and fabricates various items and equipment using cutting, burning, and welding techniques and equipment
• Monitors the welding, burning, and fitting process to ensure parts are not overheated or damaged by warping, distortion, expansion, or shrinkage
• Prepares, assembles, and tacks weld parts and surfaces to be welded
• Maintains, organizes, and cleans equipment and the work area
• Notifies Supervisor when faulty equipment or defective materials are discovered
• Performs other related duties as assigned
• Perform Quality Control and process all required documentation
• Perform Prep work and grinding
