Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) is seeking a Tier II Linux Administrator to support a Federal Intelligence Agency contract in Springfield, VA. You will manage enterprise Linux environments (RHEL) and Windows, troubleshoot incidents, and provide tier II support across hybrid infrastructure.

The role requires TS/SCI with Polygraph, DoD 8570 CE training within six months, and a BS in CS/Engineering or related field, with 5+ years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• 5+ years of related systems administration experience.
• DoD 8570 CE training within six months of Hire Date; current IA certificate required (Security+ CE, SSCP or CCNA-Security).
• TS/SCI with Polygraph is required.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot user, workstation and application functionality for Linux and Windows.
• Identify, analyze, and resolve incidents with short-term workarounds and long-term solutions.
• Provide remote end user support with geographically dispersed Tier 2/3 teammates.
• Communicate effectively with team members in both small and large environments.
• Willingness to participate in special projects as needed.
