Job summary

Integral Federal in Tysons, VA is seeking a Tier 3 Engineer to provide 24×7 operational support for VA/OIT programs. You will troubleshoot, resolve incidents, apply patches, monitor environments, and ensure high availability.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in CS or IT and 7–10 years of experience, with Public Trust clearance or the ability to obtain it. You will produce reports, participate in deployments, and help implement SRE practices to improve reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in computer science or an IT-related field with 7–10 years of experience.
• Experience providing 24×7 support, responding to automated alerts, HPIs/CPIs, and resolving incidents within strict SLTs.
• Experience performing patching, maintenance, backup/recovery, monitoring, and environment support.
• Experience producing postmortems, outage reports, event updates, and conducting root cause analysis.
• Experience supporting deployments, incident triage, synthetic monitoring, and SRE-aligned processes.
• Public Trust clearance or the ability to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Respond to alerts and incidents; produce Event Update Reports and Postmortems.
• Apply OS/application patches and monitor environments; support deployments.
• Monitor dashboards, logs, telemetry, and capacity; ensure stability.
• Produce Postmortem Reports, Event Updates, and After Action Reports (AARs).
• Provide trend analysis and recommendations for system optimizations; perform patching and backups.
• Support deployments, validate load performance, and ensure release stability.
• Implement SRE practices to enhance monitoring, fault tolerance, and automated testing.
