Job summary

Integral Federal is seeking a Tier 3 Engineer to provide 24x7x365 operational support for VA OIT programs, focusing on incident resolution and reliable IT services in a federal environment.

The role covers patching, monitoring, deployments, postmortems, and SRE-driven improvements. You will produce reports, analyze trends, and help optimize systems while receiving a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or an IT-related field with 7–10 years of experience.
• Experience providing 24x7 support, responding to automated alerts, HPIs/CPIs, and resolving incidents.
• Experience patching, maintenance, backup/recovery, monitoring, and environment support.
• Experience producing postmortems, outage reports, event updates, and root-cause analysis.
• Experience supporting deployments, incident triage, synthetic monitoring, and SRE-aligned processes.

Responsibilities

• Respond to alerts and incidents and produce Event Update Reports and Postmortems.
• Apply OS/application patches, monitor environments, and support deployments.
• Monitor environments, dashboards, logs, telemetry, availability and capacity.
• Produce Postmortem, Event Update Reports and After-Action Reports (AARs).
• Provide trend analysis and recommendations for system optimization; perform patching, backup and restoration operations.
• Support deployments, validate maximum-load performance and ensure release stability.
• Implement SRE practices to improve monitoring, fault tolerance, logging and automated testing.
• Support proactive monitoring, synthetic tests, and integration validations to prevent outages.
