J T is seeking a Tier 2 Level 2 Systems Administrator in Annapolis Junction, MD. This role health-checks server infrastructure, ensures security, and maintains core applications in a secure environment.

The ideal candidate will provide advanced Tier 2 support, execute patch management, and collaborate on cross-functional IT projects while adhering to strict security controls and compliance standards.

Formación

• Clearance: Active TS/SCI with Polygraph required.
• Education/Experience: HS Diploma 15+ years OR Bachelor's with 10+ years of IT/sysadmin experience.
• Certifications: At least one IAT Level 1 compliant (e.g., CompTIA A+ CE, CompTIA Network+ CE).
• Technical proficiencies: Windows/Linux server and OS administration; hardware maintenance; remote access tools; security tooling.

Responsabilidades

• Monitor and maintain enterprise servers, OSes, and key applications.
• Apply patches and configuration changes per change management procedures.
• Perform routine health checks, capacity planning, and performance tuning.
• Provide Tier 2 support for escalated issues from help desk.
• Diagnose and resolve complex system, application, and network incidents.
• Manage user accounts and access controls per least-privilege.
• Install, configure, and deploy new systems and management tools.
• Create and maintain documentation for configurations and standards.
• Ensure security policies and federal compliance; monitor controls.
