Job summary

Bowman Williams in New York City is seeking a Service Desk Engineer L2 to support small and mid-sized business clients across NYC. This role is ideal for an MSP technician advancing from Tier 1 to Tier 2, handling Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Entra ID, MFA, Windows Server, networking, backups, and some light project work.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of MSP experience supporting multiple client environments

Responsibilities

• Provide Tier 1.5 and light Tier 2 support remotely and onsite for NYC based clients
• Troubleshoot Windows desktops, laptops, Microsoft 365, Outlook, business applications
• Support Active Directory, Entra ID, MFA, user migrations, permissions, file shares, Group Policy, and printer deployments
• Assist with Windows Server support, server applications, workstation deployments, and basic systems administration tasks
• Monitor RMM alerts, backup alerts, endpoint issues, and recurring client support needs
• Support Microsoft 365, SharePoint Online, Azure, Intune, and Azure Virtual Desktop environments as experience allows
• Troubleshoot basic firewall, VPN, VLAN, switching, wireless, and general network connectivity issues
• Assist with Datto, Veeam, VMware, Hyper V, and other backup or virtualization related support
• Contribute to light project work involving workstations, servers, network upgrades, deployments, and cloud migrations
• Maintain clear ticket notes, documentation, knowledge base articles, configuration notes, and improvement suggestions
• Work closely with dispatch, Level 1, Level 2, and senior engineers to keep tickets moving and clients updated
