Job summary

Amentum is seeking IT Support Technicians to support our DHS client at regional CONUS and OCONUS facilities, with openings in Eloy and Tucson, AZ.

You will provide Tier 2 IT help desk support, hardware/software troubleshooting, and video conferencing/remote support, with Windows, Active Directory, encryption, and backups expertise.

The role may require travel to government sites and the ability to obtain facility credentials to work in a law enforcement environment.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree or 1 year IT help desk experience (or HS diploma with 3 years IT help desk experience).
• Hands-on experience with network, computer, server, device imaging/encryption, mobile, server and backup support.
• Experience using ServiceNow or similar ticketing system.
• Experience with Microsoft Windows 11.
• Experience with Office365, including Teams.
• Experience with end-point management and reporting tools (SCCM, Bomgar, Zscaler, PowerShell).
• Familiarity with ITIL processes.
• Good technical writing, presentation and documentation skills.
• Must be able to perform physically demanding tasks (up to 50 lbs).
• Must have a valid driver's license and be able to pass MVR check.
• Local travel to Government locations required; some overnight travel; possible air travel <15% annually.
• Must be able to obtain facility credentials; US Citizenship required for certain locations.

Responsibilities

• Provide LAN administrator support for installation, configuration, and maintenance of network devices, servers, storage, and tape backups.
• Support network-attached devices (computers, printers, biometric devices, X-ray, sensors) and mobile/wireless devices.
• Test and apply server configurations and security patches; monitor health of systems and backups; perform restore testing.
• Monitor ITSM (ServiceNow) assignments and troubleshoot to resolve tickets.
• Deploy and support new equipment, including video conferencing infrastructure.
• Translate customer needs into implementable requirements for architecture/engineering teams and COTS products.
• Participate in after-hours on-call rotation and special projects.
