Appalachian Regional Healthcare Inc. is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department.

The RN will perform comprehensive assessments, develop and implement care plans, and collaborate with physicians and the health care team to provide high-quality patient care. The role requires strong critical thinking, excellent communication, and hands-on nursing skills including medication administration, IV therapy, and EKG procedures.

Formación

• Associate's Degree from an accredited school of nursing is required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Up to 1 year acute care nursing experience; 1 year relevant to department preferred.
• Experience with Electronic Health Record preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with providers at all levels.
• Able to communicate clearly and influence outcomes.
• Must pass Medication Exam.
• ACLS/Trauma certifications required as listed; STEM and stroke modules emphasized.

Responsabilidades

• Completes patient assessments, formulates and oversees plan of care.
• Oversees implementation and adjusts plan using critical thinking.
• Delivers nursing care per standards; supports patients, families, and staff.
• Administers medications and IV therapy as prescribed by a licensed practitioner.
• Mentors, orients, and supervises staff and students.
• Participates in discharge planning and transition of care.
• Documents findings timely in medical records and communicates clearly.
